At first, I figured that the bank had simply attached some pending transactions that weren't showing up through Web banking. However, the discrepancy continued and continued, so I started digging back through the transaction record. Suddenly, BOOM! There it was. United Airlines credited back my VISA for our aborted pre-Christmas trip to Spokane. This is terrific news, and my thanks to United for doing right thing by us. So: aside from the fact that the refund was done on the down-low (I mean, not so much as an e-mail to let us know they were doing it), hats are off. I'm happy.
