Hi Gavin,

I follow and enjoy your writing, particularly on apple. I own a macbook myself and love it. I want to upgrade to Leopard. But I am not sure if all of my software (particularly iLife, Parallels 2.0 & a host of other apps) will run on leopard. Do you know if I will be able to run these apps without any problem?

Congratulations on getting married.

Regards,
Murali

Murali,

Unfortunately, I'm a bit stuck when it comes to giving advice on Leopard. I'm running Leopard at work, and have been for the past couple of months. As such, I'm under an NDA, and can't talk about it at all until after the product is made available to the public.

I understand your concerns about compatibility. As a strategy, you might consider holding off a couple of days after launch to see what people's experiences are with the software in some of the Mac message boards. The software you mentioned is very popular, so there's a good chance that, if there are any problems, they should be identified very quickly. And if not, that should be determined quickly too.

Thanks for reading, and the well-wishes on my marriage! I'm glad you like the blog. ;)
